Welcome to Davy Lamp Public House.

We own a 3 bedroom deceptively large village pub in the Durham area. We have darts and dominoe teams on Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday, we have a pool team on Thursday. We have in house karaoke, bingo, Sky & BT, late licence etc etc. Our village regulars range in age from 18 to 84. We are wet sales only,we do not do food, even though we have a kitchen and large underused function room ideal for the introduction of Sunday lunches. We have run the pub successfully on limited hours for 17years,but we are having to consider retiring due to health problems. We are a freehouse and are not owned by a brewery.

We are entirely in control of every aspect of the business. We are tired, the pub is tired but trade is brisk.

Our pub has been dramatically reduced in price because of our health problems and is advertised elsewhere at

(Up to 70%  Finance available subject to eligibilty Tel  07855785053)

This would ideally suit anyone who has recently been made redundant but is too young to retire,or ex pats wishing to return to their North East roots, or an experienced or dynamic couple wishing to embark on a new profitable career owning their own ready established business in an affluent North Eastern village community. The above price includes all fixtures and fittings, the pub is fully operational and can trade from day one,

providing the purchaser or their staff has a valid personal licence allowing them to serve alcohol.

We also have the unique capability of opening 24 hours for any special events, which is ideal for beer festivals, galas, live international sport etc etc.

The only stipulation needed to invoke the use of this facility is to liaise with the police and notify them of your intent prior to the event taking place.

Please note.

In order to preserve late night ambience created by our customers we have a policy of not allowing anyone access after 10.30 Mon to Sat and 10.00 Sunday.

This policy is rigidly applied because we have the only late licence in the village and surrounding areas. We do not want anyone to try and take advantage of our late licence after they have been drinking elsewhere. We do however make exception to anyone who has been working, providing they phone in advance.
