We own a 3 bedroom deceptively large village pub in the Durham area. We have darts and dominoe teams on Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday, we have a pool team on Thursday. We have in house karaoke, bingo, Sky & BT, late licence etc etc. Our village regulars range in age from 18 to 94. We are wet sales only,we do not do food, even though we have a kitchen and large underused function room ideal for the introduction of Sunday lunches. We have run the pub successfully on limited hours for 16 years,but we are having to consider retiring due to health problems.We are a freehouse and are not owned by a brewery.

In order to preserve late night ambience created by our customers we have a policy of not allowing anyone access after 10.30 Mon to Sat and 10.00 Sunday.

This policy is rigidly applied because we have the only late licence in the village and surrounding areas. We do not want anyone to try and take advantage of our late licence after they have been drinking elsewhere.We do however make exception to anyone who has been working, providing they phone in advance.
